A one day <strong>CME</strong> on Anorectal Disorders was organized by dept of Shalya
Tantra, Parul Institute of Ayurveda managed by Parul Arogya Seva
TH
Mandal on 17 April 2013. 75 internees and final year students of other
ayurvedic colleges participated in this seminar.
The <strong>CME</strong> was presided by Dr.Geetika
Madan, Trustee, Parul Arogya Seva
Mandal.
The Programme was initiated by
welcome speech by Dr.K.J.Chauhan.

Dr.T.S.Dudhamal, Asst Prof, IPGT & RA, GAU, Jamnagar and Dr.Tushar Shah,
Vaidya, Ksharasutra Chikitsa, Chief Guests for this programme. The Principal,
Dr.Leena P. Shukla and Dr.K.J.Chauhan, Head, Dept of Shalya Tantra were also
present in the ceremony.
Dr.Geetika Madan and Dr. Leena P Shukla welcomed the guest speakers of the <strong>CME</strong>
Programme with boque of flowers.
Programme was officially inaugurated by lightening of lamp by Dr.Geetika Madan
and the two guests.

After inaugurating the <strong>CME</strong>, Dr.Geetika Madan delivered inaugural address wishing
best wishes for the programme.
Dr.Tushar Shah delivered a talk on
“Relevance of Ksharsutra Therapy in
present day and guidelines for its practice”
in morning session. He explained
Etiopathogenesias and various modalities of
treatment of haemorrhoids and especially
about kshara karma. The talk was detailed
on various forms of kshara karma and it's
utility in present day. He also encouraged
the participants to take up this therapy in
their future practice.
After the first lecture, the queries from the participants were invited and Dr.Tushar
Shah cleared the queries. After this session the participants were taken for the lunch.
The post lunch session began at 1.30PM, wherein Dr.T.S.Dudhamal sir gave a lecture
on “Management of piles & fissure-in-ano”. He explained the etiology of anorectal
disorders and especially the incorporation western life style. He also detailed the new
research modalities adopted for managing haemorrhoids and fissure and its scope.
The queries came in the post lunch session was answered by Dr.T.S.Dudhamal.

All the participants were very happy by viewing the technique and detailed
explainations by both the guest speakers.
Validictory session was anchored by Dr.Niti Shah, she invited all the guests to the dias
and welcome speech for this function was done by Dr.K.J.Chauhan. He thanked the
two guest speakers who spared their valuable time for this programme and made this
successful. The two speakers were felicitated with a book and momento from the
institution. The principal of the institution also thanked the speakers and dept of
shalya tantra and all those who aided for success of this programme in her vote of
thanks talk.
