BUS RIDERS<br />
For information on the bus that serves your neighborhood, contact the Director of Transportation at 763-0551. <strong>Student</strong>s are to sit quietly and obey<br />
the duty teacher until their bus number is called in the afternoon. They are to enter and exit the building in a quiet and orderly fashion.<br />
Tardies<br />
The instructional day begins at 7:45 am. <strong>Student</strong>s arriving to school after 7:55 am must be escorted to the office for an admission slip to class.<br />
Teachers in accordance with the following guidelines will administer the penalty for tardiness. <strong>Student</strong>s entering school after 11:30 am will be<br />
considered ½ day absent. A student leaving school prior to 11:30 pm will also be considered ½ absent.<br />
1 st offense- Warning<br />
2 nd offense- Warning<br />
3 rd offense- Parent Contact<br />
4 th offense- Official letter sent to parent<br />
5 th offense- Parent/Teacher conference<br />
Tardies start over each nine weeks. Tardies and early checkouts will result in the loss of perfect attendance even though a full day is not missed.<br />
Telephone Use<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s will not be permitted to make phone calls. In emergency situations, a member of the faculty or staff will make any necessary phone calls<br />
to the parents.<br />
Visitors<br />
Parents are encouraged to visit the school. If joining us for lunch, it is necessary to check in at the office for a Visitor’s Pass. Teachers will send<br />
all visitors back to the office that do not have a pass.<br />
Withdrawal From School<br />
Parents, legal guardian, persons having legal, lawful control of the student under a court order, or persons standing in loco parentis should notify<br />
the school office before the student’s last day. The school office will arrange transfer of student records. Attendance and grade records will not be<br />
given directly to parents but mailed directly to the receiving school. The ages for attending public school is between 5 and 21.<br />
