We like to thank you for having placed your confidence in us by buying these loudspeakers. You have<br />
decided to buy a product of quality that meets the highest requirements of sound as well as of<br />
technological concerns.<br />
Enjoy the advantages of our coaxial technology with its decisive characteristic features like the highprecise<br />
presentation of sound events and the big independence in choosing your listening position<br />
inside the stereo triangle.<br />
The speaker systems are artificially aged by a technical sound signal in our factory. Therefore, the<br />
usual initial run period is not necessary.<br />
To exhaust (max out) the sound capabilities of our speakers, we recommend to read the following<br />
instructions for positioning and use.<br />
Coaxial technology<br />
All our speakers are basing on the multipath technology and our special coaxial technology, leading to<br />
an incomparable quality of depth staggering, minimum distortion and definition of location. The course<br />
of the directional characteristic (directivity index) is optimised according to audio physical<br />
perspectives.<br />
Selection of a fitting amplifier<br />
Our <strong>ME</strong> 25 does not represent a difficult load resistance to the amplifier. Due to the linearised<br />
impedance course, even the use of a tube amplifier gives not any problem.<br />
Your franchised dealer of <strong>ME</strong>-<strong>Geithain</strong> will advise you on the selection of the right product.

- Conditions for warranty<br />
The appliance should be opened only by authorized technical personnel, otherwise<br />
the warranty claims would be lost. Any destruction by overloading, inappropriate<br />
handling or disturbing outside influence likewise leads to the expiry of the warranty.<br />
2. Positioning<br />
The correct positioning of your loudspeakers according to international standards ensures the wanted<br />
quality and can improve the impression of the sound in your listening room significantly<br />
2.1 Stereo mode<br />
The optimal position of two-channel operation is the so-called stereo triangle. The base width between<br />
the speakers and their distance to the listening zone (= reference listening position) form an equilateral<br />
triangle (stereo triangle). The listening distance should not be smaller than 2.0 m ( 6.6 ft ).<br />
For a precise, three-dimensional sound image, turn the loudspeakers slightly into the direction of the<br />
listening zone. Please refer to the graphical presentation.<br />
Fit the height of the speakers to the listening level. Usually, the height of the ears is between 1.00m<br />
and 1.20m (39 inch and 47 inch ) when sitting. We recommend using the especially developed original<br />
stands.<br />

2.2. Surround mode<br />

The stereo triangle (see stereo operation) is expanded to a thought circle here. The listening zone is<br />
around the central point of this circle (about +/- 80cm( 30 inch )). Take care that every speaker has the<br />
same distance to the listening zone.<br />
The center speaker is situated in the middle of the two front speakers. Because of the magnetic<br />
shielded design, it can be put above or under the television set, in horizontal or vertical position.<br />
Horizontal positioning under the TV set is recommended.<br />
Make sure that front and rear speakers are on the same horizontal level.<br />
The angle between center and rear speakers should be +/- 110° to 120°. (See graphical presentation).<br />
If your living room does not support this exact positioning, use the adjustment feasibilities for level and<br />
time delay according to the speaker distances available on most decoder and/or receiver devices.<br />
