GOVERNOR’S INTERAGENCY COORDINATING COUNCIL ON EARLY CHILDHOOD<br />

Law provides: The 17- to 25-member council addresses methods of implementing the state policy<br />

of development and implementing comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary interagency programs<br />

of early intervention services for children with disabilities. The council recommends policies<br />

to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated system of all state and local agency services for children<br />

under age five with disabilities. (<strong>Minnesota</strong> Statutes, Section 125A.28)<br />

Law provides: The council develops and implements an overall restoration plan for the governor’s<br />

residence and surrounding grounds and solicits contributions to restore, maintain, improve,<br />

decorate, and furnish the building. Its 19 members are drawn from state agencies, the governor’s<br />

spouse, legislators, the family that donated the building, the public, and the fields of higher<br />

Law provides: The council is comprised of 31 individuals, including the commissioners of<br />

economic security; children, families, and learning; human services; and trade and economic<br />

development; as well as six representatives of business and industry, six representatives of labor<br />

organizations, four members representing community-based organizations, six members representing<br />

education, two representatives of local government, and four members appointed by the<br />

legislature. The council advises the governor and legislature on state workforce investment policies<br />

HEALTH PROFESSIONALS SERVICES PROGRAM COMMITTEE<br />

Law provides: The program protects the public from persons regulated by the health licensing<br />

boards who suffer from illnesses that may inpact their ability to practice safely. Services include<br />

referring for evaluation and treatment, developing monitoring plans that include illness and<br />

practice-specific requirements, and providing ongoing monitoring of illness management and risk to<br />

HEARING INSTRUMENT DISPENSER ADVISORY COUNCIL<br />

Law provides: The nine-member council, consisting of consumers, audiologists, and dispensers,<br />

advises the commissioner of health on matters relating to certification and regulation of hearing<br />

instrument dispensers including certification standards, enforcement of certification laws and rules,<br />
