A native plant buffer was<br />
established by the Stearns County SWCD<br />
working with the city of Cold Spring and<br />
volunteers at Lions Park.The group restored<br />
what had been a mowed shoreline to a native<br />
plant buffer. Three rain gardens were also<br />
established to capture the fi rst fl ush of runoff<br />
from the site and infi ltrate it into the ground.<br />
