• 46,000 trees sold for conservation practices in the county.<br />
• 228 people bought 14,428 trees through general orders<br />
• 29 people each purchased over 200 trees, which totaled<br />

Extension, Farm Service Agency, State Climatology<br />

River <strong>Water</strong> Analysis / Well <strong>Water</strong> Clinics,<br />
Analysis / Rainfall Network<br />
• 13 river sites were monitored for 4 months using Hach<br />
and Sonde equipment. Sites are on Roseau River, Warroad<br />
River, Sprague Creek, Hay Creek and Pine Creek<br />
• A certifi ed laboratory tests river water samples for fecal<br />
coliform counts, total phosphorus and nitrate<br />
• Roseau SWCD water monitoring parameters are stage<br />
depth, pH, air and water temperature, conductivity,<br />
turbidity, and dissolved oxygen<br />
• 2 Nitrate Clinics were held in the <strong>District</strong> booth at the<br />
Roseau County Fair with a total of 14 water samples<br />
being tested<br />
• Provided funding for fair booth rental<br />
• Supplies for calibrating water monitoring equipment<br />
was obtained<br />
• Well water test kits are continually on hand for anyone<br />
needing to test their water<br />

Future Projects<br />
32 people, Roseau River WMA, Hayes Lake State<br />
Park and the US Customs are currently participating<br />
in the SWCD Rainfall Monitoring Network, which<br />
is used by the State Climatology Offi ce, Emergency<br />
Services, and the Farm Service Agency.<br />
