Project History:<br />

Project was inititiated to address fatigue prone<br />

details in the bridge girders. Due to age of bridge<br />

and the ability to construct a shorter bridge, the<br />

district made a decision that it would be cost<br />

effective to replace the bridge. The shorter bridge<br />

eliminated having curved segments of the roadway<br />

on the bridge, which is a safety benefit. Auxiliary<br />

lanes will be added for the ramps from the County<br />

Road 18 interchange.<br />

Improved bridge and improved safety due to<br />

shorter bridges and the addition of auxiliary lanes.<br />
