4.2.8.2 LAN Settings<br />

The home gateway is an IP sharing device, which provides the home users<br />
share the same public IP address. While in the LAN side, each network<br />
device must have one private IP address to do network communication.<br />
This page is to set the configuration of the LAN interface of the gateway.<br />
IP Address<br />
Set this to be gateway’s LAN interface IP address. The LAN interface<br />
address is also aced as the default gateway address to the computers in you<br />
private network.<br />
Subnet Mask<br />
This field indicates a 11mask used to determine what 11subnet the LAN 11IP<br />
address belongs to.<br />
The <strong>Gateway</strong> acts as DHCP Server<br />
Check this item, if the home gateway supports DHCP server service. This<br />
is the normal case that can make you free from installing a DHCP server in<br />
your home network. And you can connect to the Internet just as what you<br />
have done in your company environment.<br />
