Chapter 2 Program Instructions<br />

Field of Application Function returning the time, that has passed since the last power up in<br />

the printer, expressed in number of “TICKS” (1 TICK = 0.01 seconds).<br />

Syntax TICKS<br />

Remarks TICKS allows you to measure time more exactly than the TIME$ variable,<br />

which cannot handle time units smaller than 1 second.<br />

The TICKS counter is reset to zero at power up.<br />

Example 10 A%=TICKS<br />

PRINT A%<br />

yields e.g.:<br />

1081287<br />

The time which has passed since the printer was started is 10812.87 seconds,<br />

i.e. 3 hours 12.87 seconds.<br />
