KEY BEEP<br />

Chapter 2 Program Instructions<br />

Field of Application Statement for resetting the frequency and duration of the sound produced<br />

by the beeper, when any of the keys on the printer's keyboard is pressed<br />

down.<br />

Syntax KEY ↔ BEEP,<br />

is the frequency of the sound in Hz .<br />

is the duration of the sound in periods of 0.020 sec. each<br />

(max. 15,0000 = 5 minutes).<br />

Default: Frequency: 1200 Hz<br />

Duration: 0.030 sec.<br />

Remarks This statement sets the response for all keys of the printer. To turn off the<br />

audible key response, set the frequency to a value higher than 9999.<br />

Note that the beeper is disabled during printing.<br />

The table below illustrates the relation between frequencies and the musical<br />

scale (same as in the SOUND statement).<br />
