Connecting to Output Relays<br />

Installing the <strong>9560</strong><br />

You use the output relays to control external devices, such as an electronic door<br />

lock. You connect output devices to terminals 1, 2, and 3 of a terminal block.<br />

For more information, see “Selecting External Devices” in Chapter 2.<br />

Caution<br />

Power to the external portion of the output relay circuit must be from a<br />

Class 2 circuit providing a maximum of 24V, 1A. Never connect main power<br />

lines directly to the terminal block. Failure to comply could result in<br />

equipment damage.<br />

Conseil<br />

Le courant utilisé par la partie extérieure du circuit de relais en sortie doit<br />

provenir d'un circuit Classe 2 fournissant un maximum de 24V, 1A. Ne<br />

connectez jamais les lignes de courant principales directement au bloc du<br />

terminal, faute de quoi vous risquez d'endommager l'équipement.<br />

To connect output relays<br />

1. Use the following terminal blocks for each output relay:<br />

Output Relay Terminal Block<br />

1 J1<br />

2 J2<br />

3 J3<br />

2. Connect the external devices to the appropriate terminal block.<br />

a. If the device requires a normally closed contact, connect the wires to<br />

posts 1 and 2 on the terminal block.<br />

b. If the device requires a normally open contact, connect the wires to<br />

posts 2 and 3 on terminal block.<br />
