Data Entry Commands - LED/Relay Control<br />

LED/Relay Control<br />

Purpose: Controls the four status LEDs of an attached 9191 Digital Wand Station and<br />

the three internal relays of the <strong>9560</strong>. Also returns the status of the sense<br />

inputs to the #0 register. You can enter up to eight valid data characters. This<br />

command is specific to the <strong>9560</strong>.<br />

Valid data characters are:<br />

0 = turn LED/relay off<br />

1 = turn LED/relay on<br />

X = default LED function or no change to current state<br />

The command syntax is:<br />

$%char1 char2...char8<br />

1st Configuration LED<br />

2nd Fault LED<br />

3rd Wait LED<br />

4th Good Read LED<br />

5th 1st relay<br />

6th 2nd relay<br />

7th 3rd relay<br />

8th Reserved<br />

The relays retain their states from the last LED/Relay command until the<br />

next LED/Relay command. A power on or off reset turns the relays off and<br />

they stay off until an LED/Relay Control command turns them on.<br />

When the LED/Relay Control command is executed, the status of the sense<br />

inputs is returned to the #0 register. For more information, see “<strong>9560</strong>-Unique<br />

IRL Commands” in Chapter 9, “Interactive Reader Language.”<br />
