pany your meal from the inventory of seven
hundred wines that are listed in the cellar
book. From the comfortable Bentley which
is at the disposal of the guests to the spa, eve-
rything in this luxury establishment lends
itself to relaxation and hedonism If pleasure
can sometimes disappear in a puff of smoke,
it will leave a lasting impression on those
who took the time to go down to the “Salon
du cigare”.
It makes little sense to describe it simply as a
smoking room in view of its exquisiteness. A
long gallery overlooking the river is adjoined to
a bar which offers a choice selection of spirits
and liqueurs. The young women that can advise
you on Cognac or whisky are extremely knowledgeable,
even though the alcohol they sell is
older than they are. Only the choice of the cigar
remains. The cigar aficionado will be spoilt for
choice in this humidified, light-wood paneled
room. A large selection of modules, from every
region, are laid out on shelves. The Havana cigar
has pride of place, but the Davidoff group cigars
which include fine products from the
Dominican Republic, also hold their own in this
city where the company founded by Zino
Davidoff established itself. Neophytes should
not be intimidated. In the Trois Rois, a unique
and astonishing tool to help you learn about
cigars is on hand. At the entrance to the cigar
lounge there is a giant touch screen helps you
to choose, in only a few steps, the module that
you would wish for. All that is left is to take the
time enjoy your cigar. Technology disappears,
like time, and makes way for the art de vivre,
of which the hotel is the ambassador.
