spective target areas and markets, we have
divided our business into four divisions –
Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Care, Medical
Care and Animal Health. Our strategy is
geared toward achieving above-average,

research pipeline contains projects that have great
potential, above all to produce innovative products
capable of providing better treatment of the chronic
diseases that are increasingly prevalent in the

The analgesic Aspirin was launched in 1899 and
was one of the first successful drug products in the

new formulations of the active ingredient of Aspirin.
Protecting, curing and caring for animals –
Bayer Animal Health has been developing and
producing medicinal and care products for farm
and companion animals in line with this philosophy
for years (center).
Many diseases today remain difficult or impossible
to treat. Scientists at Bayer HealthCare (right)
are therefore looking for new active ingredients to
treat diseases with a high level of medical need.
Diversity is particularly valuable in the health care
industry, and developing innovative products in
this research-oriented field requires cooperation
between numerous partners. The more diversified
this team, the greater the creative potential released
by the cooperation. In this way, the multifaceted
