VI.4. Validity Rights<br />

In the present <strong>Second</strong> Reconciliation <strong>Study</strong>, 32 of 33 participating mining companies effected<br />

payments in the form of validity rights (one mining company provided no information pertaining to<br />

validity rights).<br />

For the purposes of present <strong>Second</strong> <strong>Study</strong>, payments reported by companies for claims that they<br />

are not registered under such name in INGEMMET have been excluded.<br />

The information is denominated in US Dollars, as reported by INGEMMET. It should be noted that<br />

certain companies provided information in <strong>Peru</strong>vian New Soles. For comparison purposes, such<br />

data were converted to US dollars using the yearly average of the official Exchange rate published<br />

by the Banking and Insurance Superintendence (acronym in Spanish: SBS) for the dates of origin<br />

of the transactions.<br />
