With regard to the scope of the <strong>Study</strong>, the Committee has established the Terms of Reference which appear in<br />

the contract signed with SECO. The contract defines the procedures for carrying out the <strong>Second</strong> <strong>Study</strong>. As such,<br />

the Committee is solely responsible for determining the suitability of the procedures for realising its aims and for<br />

the adequacy of the documentation and evidence in respect of the aims of the <strong>Second</strong> <strong>National</strong> Reconciliation<br />

<strong>Study</strong> of <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong>.<br />

Mining sector<br />

The net total mining production of the companies signed up to the current <strong>Study</strong>, and the percentage of national<br />

production that they represent, is given below:<br />

a. In 2008, the participation rate of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> was 86.94%, which represents<br />

US$18,571,667,437.25 out of the total production of US$21,360,787,878.68.<br />

b. In 2009, the participation rate of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> was 84.41%, which represents<br />

US$15,330,224,405.13 out of the total production of US$18,161,827,319.09.<br />

c. In 2010, the participation rate of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> was 83.42%, which represents<br />

US$19,531,240,178.23 out of the total production of US$23,412,898,359.70.<br />

Hydrocarbons sector<br />

The hydrocarbons production of the companies signed up to the current <strong>Study</strong> and the percentage of national<br />

production that they represent is given below.<br />

a. In 2008, the participation rate in the net total production of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> (liquid<br />

hydrocarbons and natural gas) was 88.06%, which represents US$4,816,484,594.53 out of the total<br />

production of US$5,469,782,912.62.<br />

b. In 2009, the participation rate in the net total production of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> (liquid<br />

hydrocarbons and natural gas) was 89.73%, which represents US$3,377,548,732.00 out of the total<br />

production of US$3,764,019,398.81.<br />

c. In 2010, the participation rate in the net total production of the companies signed up to <strong>EITI</strong> <strong>Peru</strong> (liquid<br />

hydrocarbons and natural gas) was 90.33%, which represents US$5,137,416,902.55 out of the total<br />

production of US$5,687,106,187.72.<br />
