1.4 Description of materials.
Bricks.
The bricks shall be class designation – 50, kiln-burnt bricks of regular and uniform
size, shape and colour, well burnt throughout. They shall be free from cracks or
other flaws viz. lumps of lime, laminations, soluble salts causing efflorescence,
air-holes which may in any way impair their strength durability, appearance etc.
They shall give a clear metallic ringing sound when struck together.
