Miscellaneous electrical safety devices/articles :
Following articles/devices of appropriate quantity shall be provided and fixed in
strategic locations adjacent to the main electrical installations for safety in operation
and maintenance of the plant as per IE (Indian Electricity) rules.
(a) EI Danger Board for 415 V AC supply system.
(b) Approved type shock treatment chart to be fixed on wall.
(c) Approved quality First Aid Box (Aluminum body).
(d) Rubber mat of 0.415/6 KV grade.
(e) Rubber hand gables.
Installation :
Installation work shall be carried out in accordance with good engineering practices
and also manufacturer's instructions/ recommendations where the same are available.
Equipment shall be installed in a neat workmanlike manner so that it is level, plumb,
square and properly aligned and oriented.
Lighting Fixtures :
Continuous rows of fluorescent tubes shall be mounted on a continuous M.S. angle
for each row of lights.
Fixtures shall be mounted to maintain sufficient clearance from the overhead
traveling crane trolley, if there be any.
If a roof over platform is available, the fixture can be pendant mounted.
Flood lights shall be mounted on steel base. Fixing holes shall be provided with slot
to turn the fixture about 5 Deg on both sides. Bolts shall be finally tightened with
spring washer. Terminal connection to the flood light shall be made through PVC
coated flexible conduits.
The fixtures after erection shall be marked up indelibly with corresponding circuit
number for easy identification of lamp circuit.
