The anchors provided at the mid-point between the two consecutive expansion joints,
fixity points may be frame type in which case all the axial forces acting on the pipe
line are carried by the frame consisting of one or more pair of supports and the pipe
line, by shear and bending.
Anchor blocks – Anchor blocks shall be designed in accordance with IS:5330-1984.
18.14 System to be followed by the contractor for bringing the material
from PHE store to work site.
Whenever contractor is required to bring out any material from PHED store to work
site for consumption as instructed by the Engineer In-Charge and as required in
terms of the contract for execution of the work the following shall be followed.
The contractor shall ensure to bring materials from PHED store to work site by
using authorized gate pass issued by engineer in-charge and obtain one copy of gate
pass from employer with full details of the materials. The contractor shall show the
materials on the site to the engineer in-charge and get the gate pass counter signed
immediately by engineer in-charge.
The engineer/representative of the engineer is empowered to witness all activities
related to fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning of all the items to be
supplied.
18.15 Inspection and testing.
The Engineer-in-charge/Representative of the engineer-in-charge is empowered to
witness all the activities related fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning. .
Only inspected and approved materials are to be used for erection of pipe work.
The completed pipe work be hydraulically tested as directed by the engineer incharge.
The job deemed to be completed only on obtaining approval from Engineer-incharge.
