Measures<br />

Children’s Bully/Victim Survey (CBVS)<br />

<strong>The</strong> CBVS contains four hypothetical scenarios about bullying. In two <strong>of</strong> the scenarios,<br />

the main character is a victim <strong>of</strong> bullying. In the other two scenarios, the main character is a<br />

bystander who witnesses bullying. In addition, the form <strong>of</strong> bullying varies for across the type <strong>of</strong><br />

character: bystander and victim. That is, one bystander scenario involves physical bullying and<br />

the other bystander scenario involves relational bullying. Likewise, one victim scenario involves<br />

physical bullying and the other victim scenario involves physical relational.<br />

After reading each scenario, the child is presented with a list <strong>of</strong> six to eight Action<br />

Choices, which represent possible actions that the main character <strong>of</strong> the scenario could take in<br />
