● 2 Stosstruppen or 2 Tanks must be used in the 1st round (one unit<br />

● The Rolling Barrage Tactic may not be used with Infiltration.<br />
Infiltration Procedure (per sub-battle)<br />
The procedure is the same for the Stosstruppens and the Tanks, but each<br />
one is resolved in a different manner, according to its own offensive results.<br />
Special units: either 2 Stosstruppens or 2 Tanks maximum to carry out the<br />
Infiltration in the 1st round (1 unit per sub-battle).<br />
Not both at the same time (it is necessary to make a choice: Stosstruppen<br />
or Tank).<br />
Lowering enemy Trenches: a modified D12 (one for each sub-battle) is<br />
rolled, also distinguishing the Tanks and the Assault troops.<br />
+1 if the general has the “assault troops” ability (for the<br />
Stosstruppens) or “tank” ability (for the tanks)<br />
+1 per previous victorious Offensive** (region taken) with Infiltration<br />
tactics (max. +2)<br />
+1 in 1918+<br />
-1 against German trenches (except while “in movement” in<br />
Combined doctrine)<br />

Victorious Grand Offensive**: Western Front (French or Italian) and East<br />
(Russian) only. If the Target region has been taken by using Infiltration. The<br />
bonus is acquired as soon as the Grand Offensive is officially victorious.<br />
Infiltration Results<br />
If the result if ≤ 8, nothing happens.<br />
If the result is from 9 to 12, the enemy trench loses -1 level.<br />
If the result is 13+, the enemy trench loses -2 levels.<br />
NB: each sub-battle has its own result.<br />
21.9 Air Support<br />
This Tactic allows the Fighters and Bombers to use with more efficiency<br />
their “Tactical Support” aerial mission, in favor of units on the ground that<br />
are engaged in battle.<br />
Learning<br />
Aerial Support tactic has a -2 penalty for its learning test, compensated by<br />
two +1 bonuses through the acquisition of Aerodynamic and<br />
Maneuverability Technologies.<br />
Advantages<br />
● The Aerial support value increases by 1.<br />
● It is possible henceforth to use 2 Fighters (or Bombers), instead of<br />
one, per sub-battle in a Tactical support mission.<br />
Disadvantages<br />
● None.<br />
21.10 Defense in Depth<br />
This Tactic weakens the preliminary bombardment and the combat effects<br />
and performance of certain new weapons or troops (i.e. Tanks and<br />
Stosstruppen).<br />
Learning<br />
This tactic is solely reserved for Defense.<br />
Defense in Depth has a -2 penalty for its learning test, compensated by a<br />
+1 bonus through the acquisition of #7 Antitank Technology.<br />
Constraints<br />
This Tactic may not be used unless the Infiltration Tactic has already been<br />
used (with Tanks or Stosstruppens).<br />
Advantages<br />
● A “normal” or “heavy” bombardment has a -2 penalty.<br />
● A “flash” bombardment only has a -1 penalty.
