All convention participants must check-in or register at the Registration<br />

Desk during scheduled hours. Only paid participants and guests<br />

receive name badges, which are necessary for entrance to convention<br />

events. Lost name badges can be replaced at the Registration Desk.<br />

Name badges must be worn at all times.<br />

The Hospitality Center provides general information to attendees<br />

about the convention. Additionally, the Baltimore <strong>Convention</strong> and<br />

Visitors Association’s kiosk is centrally located in the <strong>Convention</strong><br />

Center to provide various services: transportation information (for<br />

example, the Charm City Circulator, maps, taxi services), restaurants,<br />

area attractions, and more.<br />

Join the volunteer team and enjoy the opportunity to network, spend<br />

time with colleagues new and old, and make the most of your convention<br />

experience. Visit the Hospitality Center to sign up to participate<br />

as a volunteer during the convention. Over 1,000 volunteer hours are<br />

needed to ensure the convention runs smoothly. All volunteers will<br />

check-in at the Hospitality Center.<br />

<strong>Convention</strong> Headquarters serves as a general resource for conventionrelated<br />

issues, specifically schedule or room changes (also posted via<br />

Facebook and Twitter), accommodations for persons with special<br />

needs, and lost and found. Headquarters also serves as the presenter<br />

ready room, and contains audiovisual equipment for presenters to use<br />

to test the audiovisual portion of their presentation.<br />

If you use Facebook, join the <strong>ACPA</strong> page. For Twitter users, be sure<br />

to follow @<strong>ACPA</strong><strong>Convention</strong> for convention updates. You can use<br />

the #<strong>ACPA</strong>11 hashtag to track general convention discussion, but<br />

we encourage you to create and use other hashtags for session- and<br />

event-specific conversations. Be sure to activate your mobile device for<br />

Facebook and Twitter to ensure you receive updates.<br />

You can also use <strong>ACPA</strong>’s new mobile-friendly website to get up-todate<br />

schedule information and event details. The site also features<br />

an integrated Twitter feed and tools for evaluating the sessions you<br />

attend.<br />

The Cyber Café provides computer stations for short-term use. <strong>Convention</strong><br />

participants may check e-mail, research websites, and more.<br />

<strong>ACPA</strong> members may also search the online convention program to<br />

find educational sessions of interest and see the most current convention<br />

schedule.<br />

Gender Neutral Restrooms<br />

Gender Neutral Restrooms are located in the <strong>Convention</strong> Center on<br />

the Pratt Street Lobby Level outside meeting rooms 340/341.<br />

Transportation<br />

The Baltimore <strong>Convention</strong> and Visitors Association’s kiosk is centrally<br />

located in the <strong>Convention</strong> Center to provide information about<br />

various services including the free Charm City Circulator, city maps,<br />

and taxi services.<br />

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) operates the light rail,<br />

metro subway, and bus system in Baltimore. One-way fare is $1.60, or<br />

day passes can be purchased for $3.50 each.<br />

The Charm City Circulator also operates routes throughout the city,<br />

and stops at the Baltimore <strong>Convention</strong> Center. This is a free service<br />

with three routes that run every 10 minutes, seven days a week. The<br />

Circulator connects to less expensive parking, Amtrak, MARC, Light<br />
