Central Bank’s <strong>US</strong> Dollar (<strong>US</strong>D) Currency Auction:<br />
• The following table shows volume sold <strong>of</strong> and exchange rates for <strong>US</strong>D in the <strong>Iraq</strong>i currency auction since<br />
April. Since September, the Central Bank has slowly appreciated the dinar, as suggested by the IMF, to<br />
tackle the past year’s rampant inflation. This welcome increase in the dinar's value against the dollar is<br />
reflected in the figure below.<br />
