[4.] Help Iraq Build Government Capacity and Provide Essential
Services –Electricity
Electricity:
• Officer in Charge Major Angel Ortiz visited the US Army-funded-132Kv
substation in Fallujah February 4. The engineer at the station told Major Ortiz
that Fallujah is getting 16 hours of power daily to distribute to the 17 sectors of
the city. He also said that city sectors are getting between 6-8 hours per day
(two on/four off). That is a remarkable improvement over the situation just two
weeks ago when Fallujah was getting about one hour of electricity per day.
