IV. Joseph, 30th Oct". 1708, married Lydia Deane Oct.<br />

12, 1749, died in 1751, leavinsj a son Joseph, bau'd<br />

Apl. 14, 1754. She married Feb. 17, 1756, Thomas<br />

Annis.<br />

V. Benjamin, 26th March, 1710. He was a blacksmith,<br />

and married Jean or Jane, daughter <strong>of</strong> Moses Godfrey<br />

<strong>of</strong> Chatham, to which town he removed, and is<br />

the ancestor <strong>of</strong> the Bearse <strong>families</strong> in that town. He<br />

died in 1753, letiving widow Jean, sons Jonathan,<br />

George, Benjamin, David and Moses, and daughters<br />

Elizabeth, wife <strong>of</strong> Thomas Eldridge, Hannah, Sarah<br />

and Martha. His real estate was appraised at £399,<br />

lis., and his personal estate at £204, 2s., Sd., probably<br />

in lawful money.<br />

VI.; Jesse, 22d Oct., 1712, probably died young.<br />

VII, Priscilla, 5th June, 1713, married Oct. 16, 1735,<br />

Elnathan Lewis.<br />

Villi David, 27th March, 1716, probably died younsr.<br />

IX. \ Peter, 25:h Oct., 1718, mariied Xov 12,'l74l', Deborah,<br />

diughter <strong>of</strong> Capt. Samuel Bacon, and had 1st,<br />

Samuel, lOth Sept., 1742, who married Nov. 15,<br />

[1764, Sarah Bearse; 2d, Jesse, 2d Nov. 1743; 3d,<br />

)avid, 20th Nov., 1745; 4th, Edward, 12th June,<br />

L750.<br />

Samuel, 9th Dec, 1720, died Oct. 30, 1751, aged 30<br />

wears. He resided in Yarmouth at the time <strong>of</strong> his<br />

death, and in his will dated 15th Oct., 1751, he orders<br />

tomb-stones to be placed at the graves <strong>of</strong> his<br />

fafther Benjamin and mother Sarah. He devises his<br />

estate to his brothers, sisters and cousins [nephews]<br />

To\his cousin [nephew] Samuel, son <strong>of</strong> his brother<br />

Peter, his gold buttons.<br />

Xli Sarah, 5th July, 1722, married Ebenezer Nickerson<br />

<strong>of</strong> Tarmouth, Feb. 17, 1744.<br />
