49. 1. Abigail, 26th June, 1720, married Prince Howes <strong>of</strong> Yarmouth,<br />

Aug. 3, 1739.<br />

50. II. Jonathan, 1st Dec. 1722, married Aug. 5, 1744, Mercy,<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Dea. Samuel Bacon, and had John, 4th Oct.<br />

1745 ; Jonathan, 9th Dec. 1749 ; Nathaniel, 28th Nov.<br />

1752 ; Anner, 20th March, 1755 ; Samuel, 26th March,<br />

1758 ; Benjamin, 18th Jan. 1760 ; Edward, 6th April 1762 ;<br />

William and David. Capt. Benjamin <strong>of</strong> this family resided<br />

at Osterville, and was the father <strong>of</strong> the late Hon. Benjamin F.<br />

Hallett.<br />

51. III. David, 12th Dec. 1744, married July 18, 1753, Sarah<br />

Lewis. 2d, Sarah Butler, Feb. 12, 1756. He died Nov.<br />

1763.<br />

52. IV. Elizabeth, 9th Jan., 1726.<br />

53. V. Mehitabel, 21st Ap. 1729, married Shubael Baxter <strong>of</strong><br />

Yarmouth, 1746-7.<br />

54. VI. Remember, 12th May, 1731, married Jabez Marchant <strong>of</strong><br />

Yarmouth, Jan. 4, 1753.<br />

55. VII. Sarah, 28th May, 1733, married Jabez Parker 1751.<br />

56. VIII. Annah, 14th May, 1737, married Nov. 1, 1759,<br />

Elisha Kent, <strong>of</strong> Goodfleld.<br />

57. IX. Mary, 11th May, 1739, married Nov. 22, 1761, Timothy<br />

Hamblin.<br />

58. X. Abner, 19th May, 1741. He married Susan ,<br />

had a son Abner and others.<br />

Timothy Hallett, son <strong>of</strong> Jonathan, owned and resided in the<br />

dwelling-house now occupied by Mr. Eldridge Lovell <strong>of</strong> Yarmouth.<br />

He was a farmer, and a very respectable man. He married, first,<br />

Feb. 18, 1719-20, Thankful Sturgis, who died at the birth <strong>of</strong> her<br />

first child—still born— 10th Jan. 1721, and both were buried in the<br />

same grave. Second, to Elizabeth, daughter <strong>of</strong> Dea. Moses .Hatch<br />

<strong>of</strong> Falmouth. She died Oct. 23, 1744, aged 44 years, and he mar-<br />

ried May 23, 1745, Thankful Jones <strong>of</strong> <strong>Barnstable</strong>, his third wife.<br />

He died as recorded on his grave stones, Jan. 24, 1771, in, the 69th<br />

year <strong>of</strong> his age. His grandson Benjamin made the following record<br />

in his family bible : "My grandfather Timothy Hallett died July 7,<br />

1770, in the 66th year <strong>of</strong> his age." "My grandmother Elizabeth<br />

Hallett died Oct. 23, 1744, aged 44 years."<br />

Children <strong>of</strong> Timothy Hallett born in Yarmouth :<br />

59. I. Timothy, 7th May, 1725, died Aug. 3, 1747.<br />

60. II. Elizabeth, 12th June 1727, died June 7, 1728.<br />

61. III. Moses, 20th April, 1629. He was an ignorant, selfconceited<br />

man.
