Nantucket.<br />

Shubael Gorham in his will dated 23d Sept. 1748, proved<br />

Aug. 7, 1750, says he is "advanced in years," and gives all his<br />

real estate to his son George and allows him to retain whatever he<br />

owes him or his wife. He gives his personal estate to his seven<br />

daughters, to be equally divided to them. His personal estate<br />

was apprized at £99,10 8 ;<br />

his real at £266,13 4.<br />

61. Respecting George Gorham I find nothing on the rec-<br />

ords.<br />

52. Abigail Gorham married Oct. 25, 1716, James Lovell,<br />

Jr. She resided at Hyannis Port, and died June 28, 1778, aged<br />

79 years.<br />

53. Lydia Gorham married Sept. 8, 1720, Joseph Worth, <strong>of</strong><br />

Nantucket. * The records say they were then both <strong>of</strong> Nantucket.<br />

They had eight sons and four daughters, who lived and married.<br />

They have many descendants at Nantucket, in New York, Indiana,<br />

and other states. She died March 1, 1763, aged 62 years.<br />

Her son Daniel, with six in his family, removed to North Carolina<br />

in 1771.<br />

54. Hannah Gorham married Oct. 24, 1726, William Manning,<br />

and Dec. 21, 1732, Wm. Stubbs, <strong>of</strong> Nantucket. She died<br />

16th 8 mo., 1751, at Nantucket.<br />

55. Theodate married 2d Nov. 1729, Francis C<strong>of</strong>fin, and<br />

second, Reuben Gardner. She died 6th April, 1787, aged 81<br />

years, leaving numerous descendants.<br />

56. Daniel Gorham belonged to the society <strong>of</strong> friends, and<br />
