Of this family I can furnisli little information. The family<br />

removed from <strong>Barnstable</strong> early. William, the only one <strong>of</strong> the<br />

name on the town records, married Mary, daughter <strong>of</strong> Henry<br />

Taylor, Dec. 1686, and had eight children born in <strong>Barnstable</strong> :<br />

I. Lvdia, 30th March, 1688.<br />

II. William, 30th Oct. 1690.<br />

III. Jonathan, Feb. 1692.<br />

IV. Henry, 11th April, 1093.<br />

V. Isabel, July 1695.<br />

VI. Ebenezer, 3d April, 1697.<br />

VII. Samuel, 30tb Oct., 1698.<br />

VIII. Judah, April, 1701.<br />

DUNHAM.<br />

John Dunham <strong>of</strong> <strong>Barnstable</strong>, born in 1648, probably eldest<br />

son <strong>of</strong> John, Jr., <strong>of</strong> Plymouth, resided at the Indian Ponds, or<br />

Hamblin's Plain, as the neighborhood is now generally called.<br />

He died January 2, 1696-7, and in his noncupative will devises<br />

his estate, apprized at £223,13, to his wife Mary to pay his debts<br />

and bring up their children. He married, 1,' March, 1679-80,<br />

Mary, daughter <strong>of</strong> Rev. John Smith, and hail.
