42. II. Thomas, baptized July 25, 1725, died young.<br />

43. III. Edward, baptized March 17, 1726, died young.<br />

44. IV. Thomas, born 16th March, 1727, married Elizabeth<br />

Bacon Oct. 7, 1755, and had Charles 10th Dec. 1756, a<br />

master ship carpenter, the father <strong>of</strong> the late John L. Uimmoch:<br />

<strong>of</strong> Boston, and Col. Charles Dimmock <strong>of</strong> Richmond,<br />

Va., and others; 2, Hannah, 21st July, 1758. In her old<br />

age she became the fourth wife <strong>of</strong> Capt. Job Chase <strong>of</strong> Harwich<br />

; 3, John, 16th June, 1764.<br />

Children <strong>of</strong> Timothy Dimmock and his wife Abigail, born in<br />

Mansfield, Conn.<br />

I. Timothy, June 2, 1703.<br />

II. John, Jan. 3, 1704-5, settled in Ashford.<br />

III. Shubael, May 27, 1707.<br />

IV. Daniel, Jan. 28, 1709-10.<br />

V. Israel, Dec. 22, 1710.<br />

VI. Ebenezer, Nov. 22, 1715.<br />

11. VII. Benj. Dimmock, son <strong>of</strong> JiUsigD Shubael, by his<br />

wife Mary, had the following children born in Mansfield, Conn. :<br />

I. Perez, June 14, 1704, married Mary Bayley Nov. 5, 1725,<br />

and had a familv.<br />

II. Mehitabel, June 8, 1706, died Dec. 1713.<br />

III. Peter, June 5, 1708, died Aug. 1714.<br />

IV. Mary, Sept. 14, 1710.<br />

V. Joanna, June 22, 1713.<br />

VI. Shubael, June 22, 1715.<br />

VII. Mehitabel, Aug. 6, 1719.<br />

12. VIII. Joannah Dimmock, daughter <strong>of</strong> Ensign Shubael,<br />

married, Oct. 6, 1709, at Windham, Josiah Conant, son <strong>of</strong> P^xoise,<br />

and grandson <strong>of</strong> Roger, a man <strong>of</strong> note in early times. She had<br />

only one child, Shubael, born July 15, 1711. Shubael Conant<br />

was a very prominent man in Mansfield. He was a judge <strong>of</strong> the<br />

court, held various town, county, and state <strong>of</strong>fices, and was one <strong>of</strong><br />

the Governor's Council <strong>of</strong> safety at the commencement <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Revolutionary War.<br />

13. IX. Thankful Dimmock, youngest daughter <strong>of</strong> Ensign<br />

Shubael, married, June 28, 1706, Dec. Edward Waldo, <strong>of</strong> Windham.<br />

She had ten children, and died Dec. 13, 1757, aged 71<br />

years. Among her living descendants are Rev. Daniel Waldo, a<br />

grandson, <strong>of</strong> Syracuse, N. Y., aged one hundred years Sept. 10,<br />

1862 ; and Judge Loren P. Waldo, late Judge <strong>of</strong> the Superior<br />

Court <strong>of</strong> Connecticut.<br />

17. IV. Thomas Dimmock, son <strong>of</strong> Capt. Thomas, removed<br />

to Mansfield, Conn. He was an Ensign in the King's service, and
