Cogswell, was born Sept. 30, 1827, in Sandgate, Vt. He married
Anna E. Isltani, daughter of William and Sarah Isham. She was born
April 7, 1829, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they resided, but removed to
Springfield, Ohio.

Joanna (Smith) Cogswell, was born Nov. 27, 1829, in Sandgate, Vt.
He married, April 26, 185 1, ^Julia Bailey, daughter of Jonathan P.
and Sally (Richardson) Bailey. She was born Aug. 16, 1829, in Lyons,
N. Y. They resided in La Harpe, 111 , but removed in 1868 to Hector,
Kan. Mrs. Cogswell died Aug. ie>, 1876. Mr. Cogswell married, July
21, 1880, '-yenuie AleKiustrr, daughter of Hugh and Cecilia (Lewis)
McKinstry. She was born Nov. 15, 1835, in Russellville, Ind.
