Edward-' Cogswell, {\\'illidiif\ William-, jfolui^), son of Willianr^<br />

fl4] and Martha (Emerson) Cogswell, was born Aug. 13, 1686, <strong>in</strong><br />

Gloucester, Mass. He married, 1708, Hannah Brown. She was born<br />

<strong>in</strong> 1691. T: . y resided <strong>in</strong> Chebacco Parish, Ipswich, Mass. In 1735<br />

removed to Preston, Conn., and <strong>in</strong> 1747 removed and settled <strong>in</strong> New<br />

Milford, Conn. Mrs. Cogswell died June 6, 1771. Mr. Cogswell died<br />

April 17, 1773.<br />
