Ebenezer' Cogswell, {Nathaniel'^, John^, Willianfl, yohii'^), son of<br />

Nathaniel"* [45] and Judith (Badger) Cogswell, was born Feb. 14, 1763,<br />

<strong>in</strong> Haverhill, Mass. He married, Dec. 9, 1783, 'Mnry Stone, daughter<br />

of Col. Benjam<strong>in</strong> Stone. She was born <strong>in</strong> Atk<strong>in</strong>son, N. H. Thcv<br />

resided <strong>in</strong> Landaff, N H., and afterwards removed to Exeter, Me.,<br />

where his wife died prior to 1812. Mr. Cogswell afterwards married<br />

'^Mivy Stficdit, of I-iristol, Me. <strong>The</strong>y removed to Wiscasset, Me<br />

where he died Aug. 23, 1847. Mrs. Mary (Stewart) Cogswell died<br />

Aug. 24. 1854.<br />
