J/r,f. Scarh- was the only daughter <strong>in</strong> her father's family of n<strong>in</strong>eteen children<br />

lived to mature years. <strong>The</strong> likeness that rema<strong>in</strong>s of her is here <strong>in</strong>serted.<br />

Subsequent to the death of Rev. Mr. Searle, Mrs. Searle was ofTered <strong>in</strong><br />

marriage the hand of Judge Farrar, of New Hampshire, but chose to rema<strong>in</strong><br />

a widow. She had a blanket made of sat<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> colors, white, p<strong>in</strong>k, and green, <strong>in</strong><br />

which her mother's n<strong>in</strong>eteen <strong>in</strong>fants were baptized. This relic is now <strong>in</strong> the possession<br />

of her granddaughter, Mrs. Harriet (Russell) Barrett, of Ma.son, N. H.<br />

Mrs. Searle died at the age of eighty years, and lies buried by the side of her<br />

hu.sband <strong>in</strong> the Cemetery of Mason, N. H. In 1879 their granddaughter, Mrs.
