New State War and Navy Department Build<strong>in</strong>gs from Mar. 25, 1876 to Mar.<br />

3, 1877; Eng<strong>in</strong>eer <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 5th Light House District, with station at Baltimore,<br />

Md., from Mar. 12, 1877; and <strong>in</strong> addition <strong>the</strong>reto, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 6th Light House<br />

District from Aug. 31, 1882 to June 2, 1884, when he was drowned <strong>in</strong> cross<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>the</strong> bar at Mosquito Inlet, Fla., while <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> discharge <strong>of</strong> his duty.<br />
