Conn. Jonathan Frankl<strong>in</strong> was prob. a relative <strong>of</strong> (Dr.) Benjam<strong>in</strong> Frankl<strong>in</strong>.<br />

They removed to Bergen, Genesee County, N. Y., with <strong>the</strong> famous " Bergen<br />

Colony." Her husband d. <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> War <strong>of</strong> 1812. On her mo<strong>the</strong>r's side she<br />

was a l<strong>in</strong>eal descendant <strong>of</strong> (Rev.) Abram Pierson, <strong>the</strong> first President <strong>of</strong> Yale<br />

College. William <strong>Olmsted</strong> was a Colonel <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> State Militia, and a prom<strong>in</strong>ent<br />

man <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> early days <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> settlement <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Genesee Valley. He settled<br />

<strong>in</strong> Le Roy, N. Y., and built <strong>the</strong> first house <strong>in</strong> that village.<br />
