Mr. Broughton a m<strong>in</strong>or, Midshipman & Mr. Dummitt, a m<strong>in</strong>or Midshipman,<br />

be sent to <strong>Northampton</strong> G-oal, & there conf<strong>in</strong>ed till further<br />

orders.—And whereas the above named Mr. Budd, the Gunner, has<br />

been taken Prisoner before & broke his parole <strong>of</strong> Honor, the Keeper <strong>of</strong><br />

said Goal is ordered to take particiilar Care, that he be kept <strong>in</strong> close<br />

conf<strong>in</strong>ement.—And that Capt. Jn". Knight, Tho^ Spry, Dan' McFadyen,<br />

Rob^ Hann<strong>in</strong>g Hitch<strong>in</strong>s Midshipmen, William Bogie Clerk, Thomas<br />

Prowle Midshipman, Rich'^ Stilton-fleet Midshipman, have the Liberty<br />

<strong>of</strong> walk<strong>in</strong>g about each <strong>of</strong> them giv<strong>in</strong>g his Parole <strong>of</strong> Honor, for himself,<br />

not to exceed the Lim<strong>its</strong> with<strong>in</strong> the Town <strong>of</strong> <strong>Northampton</strong>, that may<br />

be prescribed by the Selectmen & Committee <strong>of</strong> Correspondence <strong>of</strong> said<br />

Towri. And that such other Indulgence & Civility be shewn them, as<br />

shall be consistent with the public Safety, so long as they shall demean<br />

themselves with Decency & good manners ; as it doth not appear that<br />

they, or either <strong>of</strong> them have committed Hostilities aga<strong>in</strong>st this Country.<br />

" And that Thomas Brown<strong>in</strong>g, Edward Burgess, James May, John<br />

Horril, Mart<strong>in</strong> Chace, James Coll<strong>in</strong>s, Joseph Clarke, Jn" Lanesborough,<br />

W» Moore, Tho^ Peck, Thomas Donaldson, Rob'. Light, Tho^ C<strong>of</strong>f<strong>in</strong>,<br />

Tho». Naich, Giles Jones, Tho^ Tayler, W'". Allen, W"' Bicketts, Jno'' Ellis,<br />

Jn° Machirn, W Mackey, Uriah Jones, Mike Lave, Hugh Hughes,<br />

Jn° M'^Credge, Arthur Bemett, Jn" Baxter, & Abraham Allett Privates—be<br />

sent to the Town <strong>of</strong> <strong>Northampton</strong>, & piat under the Care <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Selectmen <strong>of</strong> said Town, and the said Selectmen are directed & ordered<br />

to conf<strong>in</strong>e the above named Prisoners (or either <strong>of</strong> them) <strong>in</strong> the Goal <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>Northampton</strong>, or otherwise dispose <strong>of</strong> them, & see that they are provided<br />

for, <strong>in</strong> such way & manner, hav<strong>in</strong>g regard to the Security & In-<br />

terest <strong>of</strong> the Colony, as to them shall seem meet.—And that Lieut.<br />

Jonas Parker be ordered to convey the above named Prisoners, to<br />

<strong>Northampton</strong>, & be ordered to deliver the Officers first named to the<br />

Keeper <strong>of</strong> the said Goal, and the Officers last named to the Selectmen or<br />

Committee <strong>of</strong> Correspondence, And the Privates to the Selectmen <strong>of</strong><br />

said Town. And the Keeper <strong>of</strong> the said Goal is hereby directed &<br />

ordered to take said Prisoners <strong>in</strong>to his Custody, & conf<strong>in</strong>e them <strong>in</strong> Goal<br />

And see that they are provided for, at the charge <strong>of</strong> this Colony, untill<br />

further Order.<br />

" And the Innholders upon the Road <strong>from</strong> Watertown to Northamp-<br />

ton Goal are hereby directed & ordered to supply the aforesaid Lieut.<br />

Parker, with suitable provisions for his Company, & the Prisoners under<br />

his Care, at the charge <strong>of</strong> this Colony.—And that Rich'' Downey,<br />

James Hickey, Peter Lime & Joseph Clegg a M<strong>in</strong>or, all belong<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

Nova Scotia be sent to the Town <strong>of</strong> Marlborough by the Same Officer,<br />

& put under the Care <strong>of</strong> the Selectmen <strong>of</strong> said Town.<br />

•'And it is further ordered, that the Said Lieut. Jonas Parker, also<br />

convey Andrew Hamilton to Spr<strong>in</strong>gfield Goal, and the Keeper <strong>of</strong> the said<br />

Goal is ordered to receive the said And" Hamilton <strong>in</strong>to his Ciistody, &<br />

to grant him the Liberty <strong>of</strong> the Yard dur<strong>in</strong>g his good Behaviour, upon<br />

the faihire <strong>of</strong> which to put him under close conf<strong>in</strong>ement, there to rema<strong>in</strong><br />

'till further Order.—And the said Lieut. Jonas Parker is further
