1st. Job K. Carpenter, and 2nd. Joseph<br />

VI. Mary Carr (670) ])orn in Little Egg Harbor, N. J., Sept.<br />

30, 1747, married Brazilla Scott. She died June 12, 1831.<br />

VI. Job Carr (071) born in Little Egg Harbor, X. J., July 15,<br />

17.50, married Catherine. He was killed in battle on the Pidgway<br />

farm while a member of the Pulaski guards by British<br />

soldiers, Sept. 3, 1782. His children were,<br />

VI. Samuel Carr (673) born in Little Egg Harl)or, X. J., Oct.<br />

22, 17.54, married Ann French, Dec. 20, 1781. She was born Oct.<br />

16, 17.58. Their marriage certificate is given here as but a few<br />

outside of the Quaker connection have seen one:<br />

"Whereas Samuel Carr, son of Calel) and Sarah his wife, of<br />

the township of Northampton, in the county of Burlington,<br />

and province of West Jersey; and Ann French, daughter of<br />

Kol)ert French and Hannah his wife, of the townshij) of Ches-<br />

ter, in the county and province aforesaid; they having declar-<br />

ed their intentions of mnrriage with each other before several<br />

monthly meetings of the people called (Quakers, held at I^vesham,<br />

in the county and province aforesaid, and having consent<br />

of parents and relatives c-oncenied, their said pro[M»sals<br />

were allowed by said meeting."<br />

"Now this iniy certify to all whom it may concern, that for<br />

the fidl accomplishment of their said intentions, this twentieth<br />

day of the twelfth month, one thousand seven hundred<br />

and eiiihU-onc, 17S1, thev the said .Samuel Carr and Ann
