1740, married Nathan Pettingill, son of Capt. Akerman Pettingill,<br />

of North Bridgewater, in 1759. He was born in 1732.<br />

V. Daniel Cakk (531) born in Bridgewater, Mass., about<br />

1742, married Martha Edson in 1770. They had,<br />

V. Kobert Carr came from Ireland and settled in South<br />

Carolina. It is said that he had a large famil^^ but we have<br />

onlj' been able to find tlie records of two of his children,<br />

V. JoHX Cakk was born in Ireland and was lirotight over<br />

with the first settlers of Londonderry, N. H., when a small<br />

V. James Cakk who was a merchant in Cooktown, Ireland,<br />

came to America, and settled in Pennsylvania abt)ut 1770. His<br />

when only a child of two 3'ears of age in conij)any with<br />

his brother John and sister Hannah. Their parents both died on<br />

their passage, and were consigned to the waters of the Atlantic<br />

ocean. The cliihlren were landed at Annajiolis, Md., and<br />

kind friends took them in charge and Itrdught thcni up. Thom-<br />

as lived in Mar\ land, where he married aiul raised a family,<br />

but moved to Penns^dvania before allot his children were<br />

born. His children Avere,
