IX. Spencer Dudley Carr (4839) born in Chapinsville, Ontario
Co., N. Y., Jan. 24, 1847. He left home at the age of seventeen
and went into the army, and at the close of the war
went to New York city. In 1868 he located in Toledo, Ohio, and
was employed as a book keeper in a wholesale house until
187o. Then he was employed as book keeper by the first Na-
tional bank. He was elected cashier in 1882, and vice president
in 1888, which office he still holds. He married Louisa
M. Richards, in Toledo, Oct. 12, 1871. She was born in Somer-
set, Mich., Jan. 31, 1851. They reside in Toledo. The^^ have,
