VIII. George Carr Foss (2668) born in Goshen, N. H., May<br />

died in Harwood hospital, Washington, D. C, from wounds received<br />

at the battle of Fredericksburg, Dec. 13, 1862. They had<br />

VIII. Milton Carr Foss (2670) born in Newport,<br />

N. H., Nov.<br />

26, 1813, married Sallie Swazy, in Washington, I). C, Sept. 1,<br />

1873. He was in the printing and engraving bureau in Washington<br />

for a number of years, and is now chief proof reader on<br />

the New York World. Thej' reside in New York. They have,<br />

VIII. LoAMMi Baker Carr (2672) l>orn in Mendon, Mass.,<br />

Nov. 19, 1842, married Anne V. Prentice, in Whitinsville, Mass.,<br />

March 16, 1832. She was born in Whitinsville, May 2). 1811.<br />

He served in tlie war nine months, and was discharged from<br />

the Stanley general hospital in Newberne, N. C, in Sept. 1863.<br />

He owned a stage line for a number of years, and is now in the<br />

undertaker's businers in Whitinsville. 'I'heir children are,<br />
