"Item.— I give and bequeath unto 1113^ son Francis Carr, and<br />

to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, forever,<br />

one-half of my right to the house and land in Newport, that I<br />

bought of Mr. Anthony Haywood, and also my one-half share<br />

of land at Cowset, that I bought of Major John Greene, and al-<br />

so a t\venty shilling piece of gold, a silver spoon, and one-fifth<br />

part of my household stock, beds, bedding and furniture that<br />

I may leave behind me at my decease."<br />
