18 CARR FAMILY RECORDS—SECOND GSXERATIOX.
ert Carr, his land on the said Conanicut island, as also ten acres
of land on the said island which I purchased of John Peckham,
jr., and also twelve acres of land at the head of the forty
acres aforesaid, which twelve acres I purchased or hought of
Benedict Arnold. Further, I give and bequeath to my son Nicholas
Carr, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns,
forever, one-fourth of my share of land at Gould island, as also
twenty-five feet in length of land from the west end of my
ware house now standing upon my wharf here in Newport;
the said land to be twenty foot in breadth, that if he see cause
he may build upon it, or otherwise improve it. Further, J give
and bequeath unto my said son Nicholas Carr, his heirs and

now wear, commonly called hand in hand and heart between,

Carr, yearly dviring the time of her widowhood, twenty shillings
