VIII. Dr. Cornelius B. Carr (1984) born in New Lebanon,<br />

N, Y., May 18, 1824, graduated at Castleton, Vermont Medical<br />

college. He married, 1st, Anna Kinsley; and 2nd, Amanda V.<br />

Buell. He died in Missouri, Sept. 2, 1868, and was buried in<br />

the cemetery at Rockton, Ills. No children.<br />

VILl. LouLSA Carr (1985) born in New Lebanon, N. Y., Nov.<br />

18, 1827, married John Eastman, July 15, 1856. She died April<br />

14, 1860. Their children are,<br />

1837. They moved to Milton, Wis., in May, 1829, where he died<br />

Nov. 17, 1878. She dietl in the same place. May 10, 1883. Their<br />

VIII. Prof. Ezk'A Sloctm Carr (1991) born in Stephen-<br />

toAvn, N. Y., March 9, 1819, graduated at the Rensselaer P0I3'technic<br />

Institute, of Troy, N. Y., in 1838, and in medicine at the<br />

age of 23 years. Soon after he was elected professor of chem-<br />

istry, of Castleton Medical college, of Castleton, \''t., a ])osition<br />

he held for 12 years. From Castleton he moved to Albany,<br />

N. Y., where he held the professorship of chemistry and [)harmacy<br />

in tiie Albany Medical college, and gave frecjuent popular<br />

scientific lectures to working men. He was tendered a<br />

professorship in the State Universit}-, of Madison, Wis., and<br />

was also appointed a commissioner of the geological survey of<br />

the state, whicli induced him to move to Madison. Durinc: the
