Y., April 1, 1814, married Mary Ann Hrownwell, in Auburn, N. \., Nov. 2.1, 1841. She was born in Rochester, N. Y., Aug. 31, 1819. and died in Trenton, N. J.. Jan. 25, 1878. He was a student and teacher at 19 3^ears of age, graduated at Union college in the spring of 1838, follo^ved the profession of teacher for thirty 3^ears, was a broker in Wall street. New York, from 18(U to 1882. At the age of 77 years he writes that he never had a fit of sickness in his life. He resides with his son, Dr. Carr, in Koclies- ter. His children are, 34(i7xl. Y., Feb. 1, 18J4. She graduated at the Albany female seminary, in 1840. She now lives with herdavighter Bertha, in Hamilton, Ohio. Mr. Dovi^e \vas Brig. Gen. of state militia years ago, Avas a lawyer by profession and at one time was editor of the Ithica Deniocnit. Their cliildren are, 3109x1. Richard Henry Dowe, b. April 14. 184.1. 3470x2. Y., Xov. 15, 1802, married Harry Burrell, in Salisbury, April 7, 1823. He was born in Sheffield, Mass., Xov. 28, 1797, and died at Little Falls, X. v., March 5. 1879.
