\'III. Samuel Dyer Carr (1829) l^orn in Dryden, X. Y., April
1, 1814, married Mary Ann Hrownwell, in Auburn, N. \., Nov.
2.1, 1841. She was born in Rochester, N. Y., Aug. 31, 1819. and
died in Trenton, N. J.. Jan. 25, 1878. He was a student and
teacher at 19 3^ears of age, graduated at Union college in the
spring of 1838, follo^ved the profession of teacher for thirty
3^ears, was a broker in Wall street. New York, from 18(U to 1882.
At the age of 77 years he writes that he never had a fit of sickness
in his life. He resides with his son, Dr. Carr, in Koclies-
ter. His children are,

Vni. Adeline Carr (1930) born in Dryden, X. Y.. Jan. 4, 18U),
married Harvey Anson Dowe, in Moravia, X. Y., Feb. 1, 18J4.
She graduated at the Albany female seminary, in 1840. She
now lives with herdavighter Bertha, in Hamilton, Ohio. Mr.
Dovi^e \vas Brig. Gen. of state militia years ago, Avas a lawyer
by profession and at one time was editor of the Ithica Deniocnit.

VHI. Ormexda Carr (1931) born in Salisbury, N. Y., Xov.
15, 1802, married Harry Burrell, in Salisbury, April 7, 1823. He
was born in Sheffield, Mass., Xov. 28, 1797, and died at Little
Falls, X. v., March 5. 1879. She died in Salisbury, June 17, 1839.
Their children are,
