Vir. James Carr (1820) born in Bekeley Co., W. Va., in 1785,<br />

married Catherine Rice. He died in Ottiimwa, Iowa, leaving<br />

three sons and one daughter.<br />

Vir. Samuel Carr (1827) born in Kentucky, Sept. 29, 1805,<br />

married Eleanor Moore, in Butler Co., Ohio, Jan. 31, 1828. She<br />

was born in Ohio, Oct. 19, 1808, and died June 6, 1891. He died<br />

in Hamilton, Ohio, July 20, 1890. Their children are,<br />

Nov. 7, 1811, but took no active part in the war of 1812. He<br />

VH. Gex. John Carr (1833) born in Fa^-ette Co., Pa., April<br />

6, 1793. He was in the battle of Tippecanoe at the age of 18<br />

years. He represented his district in congress for 8 years,<br />

being first elected in 1831. He was clerk of the court two terms,<br />

also general of the state militia of Indiana, and was generally<br />

known as Gen. John Carr.<br />

\'1I. CoL. Thomas Cark (1836) born in Fayette Co., Pa.,<br />

April 4, 1801. He was sheriff of Clark Co., Ind., 13 years, and<br />

served two terms in the state legislature of Indiana.
