Kound, was a lieutenant in "Scitviate Hunters," of R. I., during'<br />

the revolutionary war. The mother of Bartrain Round, was Susannali<br />

Seaman, and her mother was Priscilla Wood, through<br />

whom he descended from Lieu't John Wood, of Newport, and<br />

from Richard Church \vho came from England with Gov.<br />

Winthrop's fleet, and whose son, Capt. Benjamin Cliurch was<br />

the hero of the King Phillip war. The wife of Bartram Round<br />

w^as Alee Wilkinson, who descended from La^vrence Wilkinson,<br />

a cavalier who emigrated to Providence, R. L, in 1645, and<br />

who descended from the ro^al families of England, France<br />

Mrs. Sarah Round died at the home of daughter, in Wash-<br />

ington, D. C, Mai'ch 4, 1892. Their children are,<br />

VII. Mehitable Thurstox Carr (daughter of George Tew<br />

Carr, 742) born in Jamestown, R. I., April 21, 18C9, married Bev-<br />

el Granville Wyburn Saunders, in Unadilla, N. Y., July 25,<br />

1839. He was born in Unadilla, Jan. 17, 18()(), and died in Otego,<br />

N. Y., June 7, 1881. His father, Cajit. (George Elisha vSaunders,<br />

was killed at the battle of Queenstown, in the war of 1812.<br />

He was captain of the Otsego county militia. She died in Ote<br />

go, Oct. 1886. Their children are,<br />

born in Brooklyn, Pa., June 23, 1819, and died in the same ])lace<br />
