VI. George \V. Carr (762) born in Newport, IC. J.. Nov. 16,<br />

17(52. He Avent on a voyage to India with his brother Jonathan<br />

in 1783. While there he mai ried Mahala Dunbar, April<br />

2, 1798, and returned to this country the same year. She was<br />

born in India, June 16, 17(i6. On their return they stopped at<br />

Island No. 10, South Carolina, and the next year settled in<br />

Keadfield, Me. He died in New Hampshire, in 1828, supposd<br />

to have been killed for the mone>' he had with him at the time.<br />
