17- in. Samlel Fisher, 3 b. 28 Apr., 1784; d. unmarried, 15 June, 1808, in the 24th jear of
his age, from injuries received by the falling of a tree which he was cutting down.
He was a very healthy and strong man, and was soon to be married. He was
buried in the cemetery at Derry, N. H.
18. IV. John, 3 b. 12 June, 1786; m. Rebecca Brewster. Family 4.
19. V. Jennette,3 b. io May, 1788. In early life she learned the trade of tailoress with a
Mrs. Kimball, of Chester, N. H. She remained unmarried, and labored at her
trade until her death; and having excellent health, with strict attention to business
and good economy, acquired a competency to supply her with all the comforts
and enjoyments of life. She d. in 1874 (or 1875).
20. VI. Jonathan, 3 b. 9 July, 1790; m. Amelia Fisher. Family 5.
21. VII. Sarah, 3 b. i Dec, 1792. In early life she became qualified as a teacher, and for
some twenty years was, for the most of the time, engaged in teaching. In 1845
she and her sister Jennette purchased a house and lot in Derry East Village, N. H.,
where she died, unmarried, 8 July, 1866.
22. VIII. Jane,3 b. 22 Jan., 1795; m. 7 Sept., 1820, John Warner, of Derry, N. H. He d.
at Derry, 12 Nov., 1842, and was buried in the cemetery there. She removed to
Nashua, in May, 1843, where she purchased a house, and where she died in 18S2.

32- John' Humphrey, [3] (fames' J at the age of 22 years, went to the Province of
New Brunswick. Being pleased with the country, he selected a farm and then returned, and was
married to Nancy Lancaster, of Salem, N. H. He settled in St. John's, N. B., shortly after the
close of the Revolutionary war—in which he and his brother James took an active part, serving
as soldiers several months. James was in the battle of Bennington, in 1777. Of the more remote
descendants of John and Nancy Humphrey, nothing is now known to the writer. Thev probably
reside in the Province of New Brunswick and in the State of Maine. John died in the State of
Maine, in 1835, aged over 80 years. His wife died several years previous.
