MAY BELONG TO THE CATT. EBENEZER HUMTHREY FAMILY, OF OXFORD, MASSACHUSETTS.
I- Ebenezer' Humphrey, according to some accounts, was born in Windham, or
Tolland County, Conn., about 1725; and according to others, was born in Massachusetts and
removed to Windham, Conn. He married (i) Betsy . He married (2) about 17S0, Lucy
(daughter of Joseph) Robbins, born in 1750. She died at Chatauqua, N. Y., in 1835, aged 85
years, having been deaf from her youth. She married (2) Cheney.
There is a tradition that Ebenezer Humphrey had brothers in Massachusetts. Mrs. Avis
Newton, of Geneseo, Henry Co., Ill, thinks she remembers a tradition that her father (Joseph')
had five half-brothers; but her brother. Captain Jasper, the contributor of this line chiefly, thinks
it a mistake, and that the tradition refers to Ebenezer

Ebenezer" Humphrey, [2] (Ebenezer') was bom in Windham County, Ct. He
. He removed, about 1780-1, from Connecticut to Attica, Genesee Co., N. Y.
His entire family, except Cyrus, removed to Columbus, Warren Co., Pa. [See Addenda, p. 953.]
